1. Step 1: Create an Account on the eCitizen Portal

- Visit the official eCitizen portal website.

- Fill in the required details such as your ID Number, name, email address, phone number, and create a secure password.
- Verify your email address or phone number as per the instructions provided.
- Once verified, you can log in to your newly created eCitizen account.
2. Step 2: Login to Your eCitizen Account and Select the Directorate of Immigration Services (DIS)

To continue with your immigration services, the next step is to log in to your eCitizen account. After successfully logging in, proceed to the Directorate of Immigration Services (DIS’s) section within your eCitizen account.
By selecting the DIS department on your eCitizen account, you can conveniently apply, renew, or replace your ePassport and make online payments for it.
3. Step 3: Fill in the Passport Application Form with Accurate Details

The first step when filling out the application form is to choose the passport application category:
- Adults Only (persons over 18 years) or
- Passport Application for Children Only (persons under 18 years).

For Adults:
- A duly filled application Form 19.
- Original Birth Certificate and a copy for citizens of Kenya by birth.
- Copies of parents national identity cards/ Death certificates where applicable.
- Certificate of Registration for citizens of Kenya by registration.
- Original applicant’s national identity card and a copy.
- Current 3 passport-size photos.
- Copy of the recommenders national identity card.
For Children:
- A duly filled Form 19 for minors.
- Copies of parents’ national identity cards/ Death certificates where applicable.
- Original and Copies of parents’ birth certificates.
